Tyne Riverside Country Park at Newburn
Tyne Riverside Country Park is a large country park with miles of paths to explore next to the river, through woods and past farmland. We have an equipped children's play area, parking, picnic area, toilets and Visitors Centre. Rangers based at the Visitor Centre will be happy to advise on routes, wildlife seen, history, etc.
The Rangers offer a range of events to the public throughout the year, such as guided walks, pond dipping and craft activities.
We also provide an educational service to schools, linked to the National Curriculum.
There are opportunities to help look after the Park with the Volunteer Ranger Group, which meets on Fridays, and with the Friends of Tyne Riverside Country Park.
