Elders Council of Newcastle
We aim to promote the benefit and social inclusion of elders by providing a voice for elders' organisations and individual residents who are active in the City of Newcastle upon Tyne.
We work on issues concerning quality of life, health and well being and to realise the potential of elders as a creative and active resource of the community.
There are 7 active working groups on -Outreach, Lifetime Homes, Lifetime Neighbourhoods, Learning and Culture, Transport and Highways, Health and Social Care, Older Person Friendly City and a Communications group.
Meetings are friendly and information and new members are always welcome. Working groups meet every four - six weeks.
