JET - Jobs Education and Training
Specialised one to one advice, guidance and support to members of the Black and Minority Ethnic BME community including Refugees with leave to remain or indefinite leave to remain, the settled community and migrants receiving benefits.
Our aim is to enable people from BME communities in Newcastle to improve job seeking skills, seek employment and integrate. JET have a variety of different activities and programmes running including trips and visits to help integration as well as training and employment support.

Training includes ESOL for Jobs Employability skills taught by an ESOL tutor, i.e. jobsearch, interview skills, completing applications, communication, telephone skills, Work UK including cultural differences in the workplace, your legal rights, equal opportunities, time sheets etc, Sector Specific Language Training which is also available to assist partners, Voice Squad Training to encourage better pronunciation and enable improved communication at interview and work place, and Basic IT.
