Age UK: Newcastle's Befriending Service
This service is for older people who live alone and are isolated, perhaps by bereavement, ill health, disability or loss of social networks. For each new referral a home visit will be carried out so that we can determine how Age Concern Newcastle can be of assistance.
Service users will be invited to attend social outings and discussion events. Our aim is to provide them with opportunities to contribute to their community to meet new people and to have fun
