We have offices in Newcastle and Middlesbrough.
Our services are:
- FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.
- Open to any man aged 13 years or over who is gay or bisexual, men who have sex with other men and men who are questioning their sexuality.
- For men who are HIV positive, HIV negative or who dont know whether they have HIV or not.
We provide the following support:
- Phone information and advice
We offer the chance to talk about things like coming out, relationships, being married, police and legal issues and being bullied or harassed.
- One to one support and drop in service
We offer men the opportunity to talk informally to workers about issues or problems they are facing, this is on a one to one basis in a quiet relaxed, safe, supportive and confidential environment.
- Counselling
We have a team of qualified counsellors who volunteer their time to MESMAC and offer their support with all aspects of peoples lives.
- Sexual health advice and free condoms and lube
We offer advice about all aspects of sexual health, either by phone, internet, in person or by sending you leaflets. You can get free condoms and lube from our offices or through the post
- Meeting space and groups meeting at MESMAC
MESMAC runs groups and also supports a variety of LGBT group meetings.
- One hour HIV test
MESMAC offer a FREE CONFIDENTIAL one hour HIV testing service, this is available in both the Newcastle and Middlesbrough offices. We offer a drop in clinic as well as the opportunity to make an appointment during the week.

MESMAC provides training to Schools, Colleges Universities, the Police, GP Practices and many others on topics such as sexuality, LGBT awareness, homophobia, homophobic bullying, safer sex and HIV awareness, equalities updates
