Molineux Street Walk-in Centre
If you are suffering from a minor injury such as a cut, burn, sprain or minor eye ailment you can be treated at the Molineux Centre in Byker instead of having to go to hospital.
Molineux Street provides local people with access to modern health services in the heart of their community, meaning that more people can be treated near to where they live rather than going to hospital.
The walk-in centre can treat everyone above the age of two years old.
If your child has a minor injury and is under two years of age please contact your own GP, or take your child to the Royal Victoria minor injury unit which is open from 9am 4pm or to the nearest hospital accident and emergency department.
The walk in centre is open 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, and no appointment is needed - you can simply walk in to use the service.
Patients will be seen by experienced nurse practitioners, some of whom who can prescribe medicines such as antibiotics.
